Discover Valencia

Valencia is one of Spain’s oldest cities. It was founded as Valentia Edetanorum by around two thousand Roman settlers in 138 BC. In this city on the River Turia, your school will find the perfect blend of tradition and modernity.

As you walk through the city centre, you can feel Valencia’s rich history all around you. Celebrated by great painters as the city of light and colour, Valencia invites you to wander through its streets, enjoy the calm of its days and experience the excitement of its nightlife and festivals.

You will have a wonderful time on our beaches and exploring our remarkable former riverbed: a park stretching for more than 8 kilometres through the city towards the coast, filled with basketball courts, football pitches, cycle paths, skating areas, athletics tracks and almost every activity you can imagine.

Valencia is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities and is full of traditions that will win you over: paella, horchata, the Fallas, the San Juan bonfires on the beach, fireworks and La Tomatina in Buñol are just some of the experiences this wonderful city has to offer.

You will also find all the services and amenities you need, as Valencia is Spain’s third-largest city, after Madrid and Barcelona, with a population of 1,550,885. It is also connected to the Spanish capital by AVE high-speed train in just 90 minutes.
