Enrollment Rules
- By enrolling at La Llibreta S.L., you agree to be bound by these rules, avoiding misunderstandings.
- In case of paying the registration fee, it is refundable at the end of the course as long as you comply with our payment rules, reflected below.
- In the event that more than one sibling registers, only one registration fee will be paid.
Payment rules
We offer various types of courses and, depending on the type of course, the payment rules vary. The specific rules for each type of course are listed below:
Monthly-Payment Courses
- They require a refundable registration fee of €50, except for Spanish courses run by Taronja (€39), which follow their academy’s own rules.
- The monthly fee remains the same regardless of how many class hours you’ve attended—except during the first month of the course.
- The first month must be paid in full (regardless of enrollment date), including the course materials.
- If you enroll after the course has already started, an extra 20% of the monthly fee will be charged. This covers access to the previous month’s recordings once your enrollment is confirmed.
- Monthly payments must be set up via direct debit. You must be up to date with payments to attend class. If payments fall behind, you’ll be unenrolled from the course mid-month until the outstanding balance is cleared.
- Returned direct debit payments incur a €10 bank fee, which will either be charged separately or deducted from the registration fee and is non-refundable. You can clear the outstanding amount and fee via credit card, private payment, or cash.
- If three direct debit payments are returned, you’ll be automatically unenrolled from the course.
- Even if your monthly, registration, and any extra fees are up to date, you won’t have access to the course (in-person or online) or the Virtual Classroom until we verify that your SEPA details are correct and valid.
- You may cancel enrollment up to one week before classes start, as long as you complete the cancellation form. If you cancel within that period, we’ll refund your payment minus a €10 processing fee.
- If you withdraw after paying for the entire course, you’re entitled to a 50% refund. But if more than half the course has been completed, we’ll only refund the proportional amount for the remaining classes.
Intensive Courses
- Intensive courses must be paid in full before the first day of class, unless otherwise stated. Failing to make the second required payment on time will result in automatic unenrollment from the course and the Virtual Classroom.
- For courses with more than one payment, by paying the deposit you commit to making the second payment. If the second payment isn’t made on time, you’ll be unenrolled immediately.
- Students are responsible for attending classes and keeping up with the pace. No-shows do not qualify for any refunds.
- If you withdraw after the full course has been paid, you’re entitled to a 50% refund.
- Payment can be made through the website, private transfer, in cash, or by card at the academy.
- Intensive courses offered by Taronja are subject to their own internal policies.
Courses Requiring a Confirmation Letter for Visa
- You must pay at least half of the total course fee to receive the admission letter.
- If your visa is denied, the academy will refund your payment, except for the non-refundable €100 processing fee.
- Spanish+PCE courses follow Taronja’s internal refund policies.
Private Lessons
- Private lessons must be paid in advance as a refundable deposit, at least one business day before the class. The class won’t be reserved until payment is confirmed.
- Lesson bundles (4 or 8 classes) must also be paid in advance, at least one business day before the first class.
Attendance and Cancellations
Monthly-Payment Courses
- The direct debit for monthly courses will be processed between the 1st and 5th of each month.
- If you wish to cancel your enrollment, you must fill out the withdrawal request form at least 7 days before the end of the current month. Otherwise, the next month’s payment will be charged and cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
- If the last payment is returned, the registration fee will not be refunded.
- Absences, even if justified, and public holidays are not recoverable.
Private Lessons
- Private lessons must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. If canceled on time, the payment can either be refunded or used for a future lesson. In either case, the rescheduled class must take place on the same day of the week and at the same time as the canceled one.
- To cancel, you must contact the center during office hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:30. If your lesson is on a Monday or after a public holiday, you must cancel by the last working day before the lesson, before the end of office hours.
Private lessons are scheduled according to an agreement between the student and the academy, based on teacher availability.
Support Classes
- Support classes will end on June 12, except for 2nd-year Bachillerato students, whose classes will end on May 29.
- Unless otherwise notified, we will assume that students finish support classes on June 12 (1st ESO – 1st BAC) or May 29 (2nd BAC).
- Students enrolled in any of our university entrance exam prep courses will get a discounted rate for support classes (€6/hour), as long as they attend regular, monthly sessions. This discount does not apply to one-off support classes, which will be billed according to the next point.
- You can book individual support classes at a rate of €12/hour. Attendance is subject to availability at the requested time. The amount will only be refunded if cancellation is communicated at least 24 business hours in advance. If you don’t cancel in time or don’t show up, the class cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
- One-off support classes can be booked up to one week in advance.
For All Courses
- To ensure smooth transitions and proper class scheduling, our classes end 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. This helps us start the next class on time and allows for a smooth changeover between teachers and students. This is part of our regular scheduling and does not affect the course content.
- If a student can’t attend class, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible via any of our contact channels (email, phone, or WhatsApp).
- Missing a class does not entitle you to any refund of the course fee.
Materials
- Conversation classes do not require a textbook, and materials are provided free of charge. Additionally, conversation classes will not be recorded.
- Valencian courses: the materials, valued at €30, are paid together with the first monthly installment and include access to the virtual classroom and a printed dossier.
- Students enrolled in PAU, PAU+25, PCE, and university degrees will pay €20 per subject for printed materials and access to the virtual classroom.
- Paying for access to the virtual classroom and purchasing printed materials is mandatory.
- All printed materials must be picked up by the student themselves or by someone designated for that purpose, during our customer service hours at the academy.
- Under no circumstances will the academy be required to send printed materials by standard or express mail.
Calendar
- Course start and end dates: Courses begin and end according to the dates indicated in the course information and on La Llibreta’s official website. Students must be aware of these dates to avoid missing any classes and to stay informed about their course schedule.
- Holidays and breaks: La Llibreta S.L. follows the official calendar of public holidays and work breaks. These dates will be communicated at the beginning of the course and will also be available in our virtual classroom.
- Course registration deadlines: One month before the exam for Valencian courses, and three months before the exam for university entrance exam courses. Review classes have no registration deadline.
- Estimated course end dates are as follows*:
PAU+25: April 24
PCE: May 15
Grado Superior: May 15
PAU: May 29
Review classes: June 12 (1st ESO–1st BAC) and May 29 (2nd BAC)
*These dates are estimates based on last year’s calendar. Final dates will be confirmed in the official academic calendar, accessible via the virtual classroom.
Exceptionality and Hybrid Format
- In the event that the center needs to substantially reduce the number of students in its in-person classes or if we have to close due to reasons beyond our control (due to unforseen circumstances), all classes will switch to an online format without any change in their price, nor will there be any additional compensation for the circumstances.
- In exchange, we guarantee that the classes will have all the necessary technological and professional resources to maintain the same quality.
- Furthermore, by participating in hybrid format classes, you agree that we may record your image and voice if you activate the camera and microphone. These recordings will be used exclusively for educational purposes and will not be used for promotional activities.
Refund of registration fee
- The full tuition fee (or the proportional part of it in case of penalties) will be refunded by bank transfer.
- If the student has paid for the course by direct debit, the tuition will be returned 60 days after the end of the course by bank transfer.
- Tuition will not be refunded in case of withdrawal from a course before the end of the course, with the exception of refresher classes.
- For review students, tuition will be refunded 60 days after their last day of class provided that they have given at least 7 days notice prior to the end of the current month.
REGISTRATION AND COUNSELING
- It is the student’s responsibility to register for official tests or exams by him/herself. La Llibreta S.L. may inform students about the official exams or tests at their request, offering this service as a courtesy. Therefore, any error or omission in such information shall not be subject to claim by the student.
- The information provided by La Llibreta S.L. on the selection of subjects and other requirements for access to universities, institutes or organizations is based on the knowledge of the administration team, but does not constitute an official source. The responsibility for meeting and verifying entrance requirements rests solely with the student, who must confirm this information with the corresponding institution, releasing La Llibreta S.L. from any responsibility.
CLASS RECORDINGS AND USE OF IMAGES
- By participating in the classes, students give their consent for the recording of the sessions, allowing the use of their personal image on La Llibreta S.L.’s website and in the services it provides for educational purposes.
- This consent may be withdrawn at any time, should the student wish to do so, by notifying La Llibreta S.L. in writing via email.
- By signing this document, students expressly authorize the academy to use, exclusively for educational purposes, excerpts of their assignments, exams, or written work completed during the course.
These materials may be used as examples in class to illustrate common mistakes or best practices, with the goal of supporting the learning of the entire group.
In all cases, the anonymity of the student is fully guaranteed: any information that could identify the author will be removed, ensuring that the use of such excerpts will never compromise their privacy.
General Regulations
- The center reserves the right to modify these regulations, providing prior notice to its clients one month before the new regulations take effect.
- Mobile phones must be silenced during class. Students are requested to answer only urgent calls and, in such cases, should leave the classroom to attend the call.
- Enrolling at the center implies acceptance and compliance with all the points expressed in these regulations.
